Warnings
With all the rules in place, warnings are an excellent way of giving the child a chance to correct bad behaviour before having to take further disciplining action. Warnings are very important for successful time-outs.
Warnings are not always issued when children are behaving badly. For example if the children are running around the garden like hyperactive fleas and it’s time for lunch, giving them a 5 minute warning gives them time to calm down and finish off the game they were playing, avoiding any flash points because they have not come in straight away.
